Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Swoop (“the App”), a SwiftUI canvas for iPhone published by Medina Apps LLC. By using the App you agree to them. How we handle your data is covered separately in the privacy policy.

Your account

The canvas works without an account. An account — created with Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In — is required only to publish to the community feed or to like other people’s posts. You are responsible for the security of the Apple or Google account you sign in with. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

What you write is yours

You own the components you write in Swoop. We claim no ownership of them and no right to use them, except as needed to run the features you ask for. Source you copy out of the App is yours to use in any project, commercial or otherwise, with no attribution required and no licence to accept.

The templates and examples Swoop ships with are provided on the same footing: take them, change them, ship them.

What you publish

Publishing is an explicit action, and publishing is public. When you publish, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce and display that post inside the App and on swoopswift.com, for as long as it stays published. You keep ownership; you can delete your own posts, and deleting one ends that licence except for copies already made by other people.

You agree not to publish anything that:

• you do not have the right to publish;
• infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark or other rights;
• is unlawful, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit;
• impersonates another person, or misrepresents who wrote it; or
• is intended to spam, mislead, or interfere with the service.

We may remove a post or suspend an account that breaks these rules, and we may do so without notice where the content is clearly harmful. If you believe something on the feed infringes your rights, email info@valethero.com with the details and we will act on it.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer or circumvent the App or its backend, scrape the feed in bulk, or use the service to distribute malware. Swoop plays a deliberately restricted subset of SwiftUI on the device; do not attempt to use it to execute anything outside that subset.

Price

The App is free to use. If paid features are introduced, they will be sold through the Apple App Store, and billing, renewal and refunds will follow Apple’s rules — you would manage and cancel any subscription in your App Store account. Nothing here obliges us to keep any particular feature free.

Availability

The community feed depends on Google Firebase. When that is unavailable or rate-limited, publishing, liking and browsing will be too — the canvas itself keeps working offline. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we may change or discontinue features. Your files live on your device; keep your own copy of anything you care about.

Warranties and liability

The App is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Swoop plays a subset of SwiftUI and does not compile your code the way Xcode does; it refuses rather than guesses when it cannot match Swift’s behaviour, but you are responsible for testing anything you ship. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Medina Apps LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost profits, arising out of your use of the App. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law allows.

Termination

You can stop using the App at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms. The files on your device are unaffected either way.

Not affiliated with Apple or Google

Swoop is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple or Google. Apple, Swift, SwiftUI and Xcode are trademarks of Apple Inc.; Firebase and Google are trademarks of Google LLC. Apps distributed through the App Store are also subject to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies alongside these terms; where the two conflict, Apple’s terms govern the App Store relationship.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date above will change, and significant updates will be announced in the App. Continuing to use Swoop after an update means you accept the revised terms.
